Partner States. Through the Iowa Sister States organization, our State is connected in Partnerships of mutual interest with seven regional territories and states across the globe, and with the country of Taiwan. Each of our volunteer-driven Sister State Committees work in concert with our Partners to establish cultural, educational, and economic ties bridging the geographic gap between our people and governments. We believe that People-to-People diplomacy has a lasting and positive impact on the political and economic relations between our nations.
