Governor Vilsack to Taiwan

Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack visited Taiwan as part of a delegation exploring trade and reverse investment opportunities, September 12-17, 2003. Other members of the delegation included First Lady Christie Vilsack, Director Michael Blouin of the Iowa Department of Economic Development, and members of the Iowa legislature. Taiwan is expected to greatly increase its purchase of Iowa meats in the near future. Currently Taiwan is Iowa’s third-largest export market for meats.
