News From Ukraine

Iowa Sister States has been fundraising to send humanitarian aid to civilians in need within Iowa’s Sister State of Cherkasy, Ukraine. Iowa Sister States is saddened to share that our Sister State of Cherkasy has now become a victim to the war in Ukraine. This hardship started at the end of June and we will continue to help our friends who are enduring violence by sending aid.

� There remains on the Iowa Sister States website a donation link where folks can "memo" Cherkasy, Ukraine Fundraiser to continue assisting Ukrainian civilians with basic needs. In addition to food, the items that we have been collecting are in response to the direct requests of the Cherkasy Oblast Government. One shipment of those items is on its way, and we are sending another one next month!
