From scholarships to immersion tours to planting herbs together, citizens in Iowa and Yucatán have been working hard to bring our two communities together. A couple highlights of our recent work is setting the foundation for an organizational structure for persons with disabilities in Yucatán, a UNI trip to twelve Yucatán schools, information exchanges about ecotourism, and donations from Iowans to set up programs for university exam tutors for students.
